SHOPPING DAY

Today, in the morning, as everyday we did class: grammar, vocabulary, discussion, exercises and we also played a game. We had an interesting break and at one o'clock we had lunch. When we finished the lunch we did something special.

We sang the song "happy birthday" to our friend Joan! He did 13 years old! We gave him some presents like a card, a hat and an Ireland sunglasses. We also ate a birthday cake. It was a delicious chocolate cake. We drank soft drinks and we danced because we put on music!!

After that we did the afternoon activity. It was shopping to Killarney town. We bought lots of things like souvenirs, presents, clothes... Many people bought the last things for their families and friends. We enjoyed it a lot. We love shopping!!

At 4:30 we returned to school and we took the bus to go to our families and enjoy the evening.

SPORTS DAY

In the morning we had class like everyday from 10 to 1.

The activity later was three typical games of Ireland: Gaelic football, Frisbee and touch ball. We were divided in 6 groups, with every two groups a different game that lasted 30 minutes. After 30 minutes we changed play until all groups played three games each.

Gaelic football: We played this game using two goals shaped it and a ball. To more with the ball we bad to run away three paces and throw it or kick and catch it and keep doing this action to pass to a teammate to score you had to shoot or finish with the head or the hand. If the ball entered the goal base it was 3points and if it passed between the two posts you add up one point.

Frisbee: We played frisbee a bit different because we used two goals in which we had to get the frisbee and scored a point. We had to pass between team members and we could make three steps and pass or shoot on goal. If you pass the frisbee to a teammate who falls down the other team recover the frisbee.

Touch ball: We played this game using a ball we played it a field that has been divided into two. And each team was in one of the two fields with the other team cemetery in their back, and when one of the dead players "killed" one of the members of the other team members, he returned to live so he could keep playing and when the last member of one of the two teams was killed he had three chances to revive and if he fails all three of them the match ended with his team lose.

Finally we did the Crazy Games which had different activities like running with one of your friends in your back or others.

BOAT TRIP: RUINS IN INNISFALLEN ISLAND

Today, after lunch, we went to the lake to visit a monastery that it was destroyed.

In the beginning, we walked for one hour and then we went on the boats, after that, the captains of the boats brought all the group to an island.
In the island, we saw some animals like a deer and a rat. Then, we saw the monastery in ruins. Then, we come back with the boats to the big island where there was the Ross Castle and we walked for one hour until we arrived at the school, and finally, we went back to our Irish families.

IRISH CULTURE

On Thursday we did many things, but we had a problem, the weather.

In the morning we had classes as usually. To start with, we did extra vocabulary such as metaphors and then, we had a break.

After  that, we sang two Irish songs: Galway Girl and Fields of Athenry. Following this, we ate a sandwich and we started doing the afternoon activities about Irish Culture.

Firstly, we listened to some typical Irish songs played by Brendan (violin + guitar) and Edward (guitar). Later, Brendan explained that some instruments are indigenous from Ireland, such as: the bodhran, the harp and the Irish pipes. He also taught us about the different kinds of Irish music, which are the jig and the reel.

Secondly, we danced some Irish songs with Brid, our coordinator. It was a very interesting experience.

Finally, we wanted to play Gaelic football but the weather didn't let us play. As I said before, the weather is a very big factor here that we have to consider when we do outdoor activities. Instead of Gaelic football, we watched a film that was quite interesting and we ate a lot of popcorn!

BOWLING & BUNGEE ROCKET

Good morning people!! Today our group for the next two weeks, had their first class, when the break time started, will laughed a lot and we talked about our life here, in Ireland, and then the teacher told us what we were going to do in the afternoon. He explained to us that we are gonig to have a soccermatch together.

We then returned to our class and we worked a lot. At lunch time, our teacher explained to us that we aren't going to play soccer because it was raining and we are going to go bowling.

When we arrived at the bowling, the teachers sourprised us with a bungee rocket. It was a very tired game but it was really funny too. After that surprise, we skittle and then we have had some time, more or less fourty-five minutes, to to our shoppings.

This is all in our school day. Now we are in the bus, returning to our families to enjoy our dinner and the evenning with them. See you!
